Summer Star Parties are Back! Inspired by the Stars? Curious about Space Tech? Or just looking for something fun and different to do? Join us for this small-scale event to re-connect with the wonder of space and space-inspired science and tech.
Agenda:
7 pm, Meet outside Mosi – Aquacotta Café. (4649 West Saanich Rd. V8Z 3G8)
8pm, head together to the Star Party at the Dominion Observatory (Centre of the Universe - 5071 W Saanich Rd, Victoria, BC V9E 2E7). These iconic events are hosted by Friends of the Dominion Astronomical Observatory.
Explore the Centre. Do the telescope tour by the Sidewalk Astronomers (Solar viewing before sunset. After sunset view the moon, planets and nebulae.)
9pm, Astronomy Talk
10 pm. Tour the Dome Observatory while also getting one of the best views of Victoria by night.
